The Original Spin

Way back in May I posted what I thought was a long-shot suggestion that Shelley Sterling should grab control of the Clippers away from her husband and sell the damn team. At the time I thought it was the equivalent of one of those half-court buzzer beating attempts that almost never goes in. I thought she was as isolated and crazy as him. As it turns out, I was wrong. The judge affirmed that her actions in wresting control of the family trust away from Mr. Sterling were legal and that she can proceed with the $2 billion sale of the Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Way to go Mrs. Sterling. You did what was right for the team and you made a bundle. Win-win.
